Major plans for relocation of Brentford FC on show to the public
AFL architects’ initial outline plans for the new home of Brentford Football Club reached an important milestone this month, with the plans going on show to supporters and local residents. The first of two public exhibitions was held in January and was attended by over 300 people from all sections of the community. Held over three days, the exhibition enabled the project team to explain, listen and discuss the proposals in an open forum. The Club is planning to move from its existing stadium at Griffin Park to a new purpose built community stadium, located on a currently unattractive brownfield site on Lionel road adjacent to Kew Bridge railway station. The proposals will see the development of a new good quality 20,000 capacity stadium set within a mixed use development which has been master planned by FaulknerBrowns.
